I use the gate to keep my small dogs on the front porch. The stairway has a wide opening. This expanding gate does the trick. It is a little hard to slide the sections back on each over, but nothing I can't live with.

The gate does exactly what we needed it to do, block an extra wide doorway. I really like how it swings open and collapses when not in use. It took a little while to get the hang of latching it and it took two people to install it, one to hold it, the other to drill. The accordion design is great, but it doesnt slide closed as easy as I'd like. Overall, we're very happy with our purchase and I'd buy this gate again.

I like the gate because it's strong and inexpensive for it's size. The only bad thing is that it's easier to just step over it than to take the time to try to close it back. When company comes over they have a rough time trying to get through it. It does the job. Keeps my little one year old away from the stairway so I'm very happy with it.

The gate is nice, fairly easy to install, and looks nice in our home. The only problem I have with it is that it is somewhat difficult to slide open or closed. Once it is opened, it folds to the side so it is out of the way, and that is nice. When it is closed, it snaps securely into place, and although it does wiggle a bit, it is sturdy enough for my child that is pulling up to use it to pull up without bending or opening. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase.
